In a hard-fought battle in Week 14 of the 2026 season, the Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the New England Patriots, 16-10. With playoff implications on the line, both teams were looking to assert themselves in the postseason race, but it was the Vikings who came out on top in this tightly contested matchup. Kyler Murray led the Vikings' offense with a solid performance, throwing for 168 yards but finding the end zone just once. On the other side, Drake Maye managed to connect for a touchdown amidst a challenging day, while D'Andre Swift paced the Patriots' ground game with 81 rushing yards. Demond Claiborne was the go-to target for Minnesota, finishing with 54 receiving yards, helping to keep the chains moving in critical moments. Defensively, both teams made their presence felt, but the Vikings' Jake Golday was a standout, recording two sacks that proved pivotal in keeping pressure on Maye. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Golday's second sack led to a crucial turnover on downs, allowing Minnesota to maintain control and ultimately secure the victory. Meanwhile, Robert Spillane's 15 tackles for the Patriots showcased their defensive effort, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Vikings' timely plays.
