The Los Angeles Chargers secured a crucial victory over the New England Patriots, winning 17-11 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. This matchup was pivotal for both teams as they vie for playoff positioning, with the Chargers now further solidifying their standing in the competitive AFC landscape. Quarterback Justin Herbert led the charge for the Chargers, throwing for two touchdowns and helping the offense find its rhythm when it mattered most. Zay Flowers emerged as Herbert’s top target, racking up 100 receiving yards and making key catches to keep drives alive. Meanwhile, Drake Maye put up a solid performance for the Patriots, throwing for 226 yards but came up short in finding the end zone. On the defensive side, the Chargers’ effort was spearheaded by Teair Tart, who recorded two sacks, constantly pressuring Maye and disrupting the Patriots' offensive flow. Derwin James Jr. added a crucial interception that shifted momentum in the Chargers' favor, ultimately sealing the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Chargers' defense thwarted a potential game-winning drive from New England, allowing them to hold on for the win.
