In a nail-biting Week 6 showdown, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the New York Jets with a final score of 32-30, solidifying their position in the tight AFC East race. Both teams came into this matchup looking for crucial momentum, but it was the Patriots who ultimately claimed the victory on their home turf. Baker Mayfield led the Jets' offense with a stellar performance, throwing for 356 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield. Meanwhile, TreVeyon Henderson was a key contributor for the Patriots, rushing for 156 yards, effectively controlling the ground game and keeping the Jets' defense on their heels. Kenyon Sadiq also made a significant impact for New York, racking up 109 receiving yards in a losing effort. Defensively, the game was marked by pivotal moments, particularly Kevin Byard III's interception, which proved crucial in maintaining New England's lead. The Patriots' defense also limited the Jets' opportunities, with Byard contributing three total tackles to help stifle New York's last-minute attempts. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when a timely stop by the Patriots' defense allowed them to preserve their slim lead and secure the victory.
