The New York Jets cruised to a convincing 35-10 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 3 of the 2026 season, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With this win, the Jets solidify their early position in the playoff race, while the Lions will need to regroup after a disappointing outing at home. Cade Klubnik led the charge for the Jets with a stellar performance, tossing four touchdown passes that highlighted his growing chemistry with the offense. Breece Hall was a force on the ground, racking up 125 rushing yards and keeping the Lions' defense on its heels. Meanwhile, on the other side, Jared Goff amassed 261 passing yards but struggled to find the end zone, hampered by the pressure from New York's defense. Defensively, the Jets were relentless, with Minkah Fitzpatrick leading the team with four tackles and snagging an interception that shifted the momentum firmly in favor of New York. The turning point came during the second quarter when Fitzpatrick's pick set up another touchdown, allowing the Jets to pull away and effectively seal the game. Will McDonald IV contributed with half a sack, adding to a defensive performance that kept the Lions from mounting a serious comeback.
