In a decisive Week 18 showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Las Vegas Raiders 34-17, securing their playoff positioning with a commanding performance. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious, showcasing their strength and resilience as the regular season draws to a close. Trevor Lawrence was a key figure for Jacksonville, throwing for one touchdown while also contributing on the ground with 50 rushing yards. Meanwhile, Fernando Mendoza kept the Raiders competitive, racking up an impressive 330 passing yards and connecting with Dont'e Thornton Jr., who led all receivers with 128 yards. Despite the Raiders' offensive efforts, it wasn't enough to overcome the Jaguars' balanced attack. On defense, the Jaguars made their presence felt, particularly through Koi Perich, who intercepted two passes, shifting momentum in favor of Jacksonville. Chris Jones added pressure with a sack, contributing to a defensive effort that stifled the Raiders at crucial moments. The turning point came in the second half when Perich's second interception set up a touchdown drive that extended the Jaguars' lead, sealing the game and their playoff fate.
