The New England Patriots secured a thrilling 37-29 victory over the Houston Texans in a crucial Week 16 matchup that significantly impacts playoff positioning. With this win, the Patriots solidified their standing as a formidable contender, while the Texans face a tough road ahead as the season winds down. Drake Maye was the standout performer for New England, throwing for an impressive 402 yards. His connection with Parker Washington was particularly lethal, as Washington racked up 170 receiving yards, proving to be a constant deep threat. Despite the Texans' Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele throwing for four touchdowns, it wasn't enough to outpace the Patriots' high-octane offense. On defense, Milton Williams recorded a sack and Jyaire Hill snagged an interception, helping to turn the tide in New England’s favor. The game’s pivotal moment came late in the fourth quarter when Hill’s interception halted a potential game-tying drive from Houston. The Patriots' defense stepped up at critical moments, ensuring their victory in a hard-fought contest.
