In a decisive Week 16 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 31-10, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. The Buccaneers delivered a strong performance, showcasing their offensive prowess against a struggling Falcons squad. Trey Lance led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 279 yards and a touchdown, while Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground with 89 rushing yards. Ted Hurst III was the standout receiver, racking up 114 yards and providing Lance with a reliable target throughout the game. This offensive trio was instrumental in establishing an early lead that the Falcons could never overcome. Defensively, the Buccaneers made their mark with Rueben Bain Jr. recording two sacks, putting consistent pressure on the Falcons' quarterback. Although Jessie Bates III from Atlanta tallied seven tackles and an interception, the Falcons' defense struggled to contain Tampa Bay's offensive onslaught.
