In a decisive Week 1 clash of the 2029 season, the Arizona Cardinals topped the Seattle Seahawks with a final score of 23-10. The Cardinals aimed to start their season strong, and they achieved just that, establishing an early lead that proved insurmountable for Seattle. Rickey Johnson Jr. showcased his talent, throwing for 284 yards, while Jeremiyah Love rushed for 100 yards to anchor Arizona's offensive attack. Nyck Harbor was a standout in the receiving corps, racking up 107 yards and contributing significantly to the Cardinals' scoring efforts. Although Sam Darnold managed to throw for a touchdown, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Cardinals' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Cardinals made crucial stops, led by Karson Sharar, who recorded a sack that disrupted Seattle's rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Arizona's defense forced a turnover, allowing the offense to capitalize and extend their lead. With Courtland Guillory leading the Seahawks' defensive efforts, the pressure wasn't enough to change the tide of the game, as Arizona secured a solid opening victory.
