In a strong opening to the 2029 season, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Green Bay Packers 32-14, delivering a solid message to the league about their championship aspirations. With both teams eager to establish momentum, the 49ers showcased their offensive firepower and defensive prowess to secure the win. KaMario Taylor led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for two touchdowns and establishing himself as a key playmaker. Saquon Barkley was a force on the ground, racking up 117 rushing yards, while De'Zhaun Stribling added 87 receiving yards to keep the Packers' defense on their toes throughout the game. Jordan Love did his best to keep pace for Green Bay with 153 passing yards, but the offense struggled to find the end zone consistently. Defensively, the 49ers were relentless, highlighted by Yasir Abdullah's two sacks and Benjamin St-Juste's timely interception, which shifted momentum in San Francisco's favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when St-Juste's pick set up a touchdown drive that extended the 49ers' lead to double digits. The Green Bay defense was unable to contain San Francisco's offensive attack, leading to their downfall in this season opener.
