In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Dallas Cowboys 24-6 in Week 16 of the 2028 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Lions secured a crucial victory, solidifying their position as a contender in the NFC. Bryce Underwood led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 274 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make big plays when it mattered most. Jameson Williams was his favorite target, racking up 89 receiving yards, while Ollie Gordon II contributed on the ground with 64 rushing yards, providing a balanced offensive attack that kept the Cowboys' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Lions stifled Dallas, limiting their scoring opportunities throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Detroit's relentless pressure forced a critical turnover, allowing them to extend their lead. Despite DaRon Bland's impressive eight tackles and a sack from Donovan Ezeiruaku for the Cowboys, they were unable to overcome the Lions' dominant performance on both sides of the ball.
