In a high-octane matchup, the Minnesota Vikings secured a 45-33 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 16 of the 2028 season. This win not only keeps the Vikings in the playoff hunt but also serves as a critical statement as the regular season winds down. Dante Moore was the star of the night for Minnesota, throwing for five touchdowns and showcasing his ability to find the end zone under pressure. Jayden Daniels of Washington put up impressive numbers as well, racking up 404 passing yards and keeping his team competitive throughout the game. A.J. Brown was a key target for Daniels, totaling 137 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to outpace Minnesota's explosive offense. The Vikings' defense, while not dominant, made crucial plays when it mattered most, including a pivotal sack that halted a Washington drive. Although Dallas Turner recorded only half a sack, his pressure contributed to a hurried performance from Daniels in key moments. The turning point came in the second quarter when Minnesota scored two quick touchdowns, creating a lead that Washington struggled to overcome despite their late-game efforts.
