The Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers by a score of 17-14 in a tightly contested Week 14 matchup of the 2028 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Vikings who emerged victorious and solidified their postseason positioning. Dante Moore led the Vikings' offense, throwing for one touchdown, while De'Von Achane spearheaded the ground game with 88 rushing yards, showcasing his ability to break tackles and gain crucial yards. Drew Mestemaker of the Panthers put up 183 passing yards and connected with Tetairoa McMillan for 67 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win for Carolina. Defensively, the Vikings were led by Jake Golday, who recorded eight total tackles, while Trey Moore added a sack to disrupt the Panthers' rhythm. The game's turning point came when Ethan O'Connor intercepted Mestemaker in the fourth quarter, halting a promising drive and allowing Minnesota to maintain their slim lead as time wound down.
