In a decisive Week 3 matchup of the 2029 season, the Los Angeles Rams topped the Washington Commanders with a final score of 37-21. This victory not only boosts the Rams' confidence but also solidifies their position in the early race for playoff contention. Leading the charge for the Rams was quarterback Ty Simpson, who threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. Running back Kyren Williams complemented the passing game with a stellar performance on the ground, racking up 107 rushing yards. Meanwhile, wide receiver Luther Burden III made his mark with 90 receiving yards, consistently finding space in the Commanders' secondary. Defensively, the Rams' front made a significant impact, with Myles Garrett recording two sacks that hindered Washington's offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Garrett's pressure forced a critical turnover, allowing the Rams to extend their lead. Despite a strong effort from the Commanders, including eight tackles from Mike Sainristil and an interception by Edgerrin Cooper, they could not overcome the Rams' offensive firepower and defensive resilience.
