In a commanding performance, the New England Patriots topped the New Orleans Saints 45-20 in Week 3 of the 2029 season. With this decisive win, the Patriots continue to establish themselves as one of the league's top contenders, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Quarterback Drake Maye was the standout performer for New England, throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns, effectively leading the offense. He found a favorite target in Kyle Williams, who racked up an impressive 166 receiving yards. The duo's chemistry was evident throughout the game, as they consistently connected to exploit the Saints' secondary. Defensively, the Patriots made their mark with Mike Green leading the charge, recording five total tackles and three sacks. This relentless pressure on the Saints' quarterback was a key factor in the game, disrupting their rhythm and limiting their scoring opportunities. A pivotal moment came in the second quarter when Green's sack resulted in a turnover on downs, allowing New England to extend their lead and ultimately control the game's momentum.
