In a thrilling Week 6 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Rams, with a final score of 27-24. Both teams entered the game with high hopes of securing a critical victory in the 2028 season, but it was the 49ers who emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, tossing two touchdown passes while finishing with a solid performance. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey was a force on the ground, racking up 96 rushing yards and keeping the Rams' defense on its heels. On the other side, Ty Simpson put up impressive numbers for Los Angeles, completing 249 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to clinch the win. Defensively, the 49ers made crucial plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Romello Height was a standout with 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on Simpson, while Deommodore Lenoir's two interceptions proved pivotal in stifling the Rams' scoring opportunities. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Lenoir's second pick set up a touchdown drive that ultimately sealed the game for San Francisco.
