In a convincing display, the Houston Texans topped the Denver Broncos 41-24 in Week 5 of the 2028 season, solidifying their position as a formidable contender. With this victory, the Texans improve their record and showcase their offensive prowess, while the Broncos look to regroup after a challenging matchup. Anthony Richardson Sr. led the charge for Houston with an impressive 336 passing yards, connecting effectively with his receivers throughout the game. Nico Collins was a standout target, racking up 170 receiving yards and proving to be a constant threat. Woody Marks contributed significantly on the ground with 80 rushing yards, helping to keep the Denver defense on its heels. Defensively, the Texans made their mark with Jalen Pitre leading the way with eight total tackles, ensuring Denver’s offensive efforts were consistently stifled. The turning point came early in the second half when Houston's defense held firm, allowing the offense to pull away and secure the win. Although Nik Bonitto recorded two sacks for the Broncos, it was not enough to shift the momentum back in their favor as Houston maintained control throughout the contest.
