In a tightly contested matchup, the Minnesota Vikings outlasted the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 23-17 in Week 4 of the 2028 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, this victory gives the Vikings a crucial edge in the NFC North standings. Dante Moore led the way for the Vikings, throwing for two touchdown passes while also finding a rhythm with his receivers. De'Von Achane was a key target, racking up 78 receiving yards, while Demond Claiborne contributed significantly on the ground with 86 rushing yards. Jordan Love put up impressive numbers for the Packers, leading the team with 194 passing yards, but ultimately fell short in the scoring department. The Vikings' defense played a pivotal role in securing the win, with Xavier Filsaime leading the charge and recording seven total tackles. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Vikings' defense stifled a potential game-tying drive by the Packers, allowing Minnesota to maintain their lead and close out the game successfully. Chris McClellan of the Packers was notable on defense with two sacks, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide in favor of Green Bay.
