In a decisive Week 7 showdown, the Washington Commanders topped the Miami Dolphins 31-10, solidifying their standing in the league. The victory was crucial for the Commanders as they look to maintain momentum heading into the second half of the season. Washington's offense was led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 184 yards and one touchdown. Ashton Jeanty had a standout performance on the ground, rushing for 106 yards, providing the Commanders with a balanced attack that kept the Dolphins' defense on their heels. Keyshawn Johnson was the bright spot for Miami, racking up 65 receiving yards but struggled to make a significant impact in the game. Defensively, the Commanders were effective, forcing key turnovers and limiting Miami’s scoring opportunities. Trey Amos made a pivotal interception that shifted the momentum and put the Commanders firmly in control. Additionally, Daron Payne's pressure on the quarterback contributed to a lack of rhythm for the Dolphins, ultimately sealing the victory for Washington.
