In a decisive Week 3 matchup, the Indianapolis Colts outlasted the Houston Texans with a final score of 40-21. This victory not only boosts the Colts' momentum in the 2026 season but also establishes them as a formidable contender in the league. Leading the way for the Colts was quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr, who threw for 257 yards, effectively orchestrating the offense. Jonathan Taylor added a powerful ground game with 90 rushing yards, while Marvin Harrison showcased his receiving prowess, racking up 127 yards and a touchdown. C.J. Stroud put up a valiant effort for the Texans, tossing two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Indianapolis. Defensively, the Colts made their presence felt, particularly through Charvarius Ward Sr, who tallied seven total tackles, solidifying the team's efforts to contain the Texans. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Colts' defense stifled a Texans drive, allowing them to regain control of the game and build an insurmountable lead. While Houston's Will Anderson Jr. registered 1.5 sacks, it was the Colts' defensive resilience that ultimately secured the victory.
