The Minnesota Vikings cruised to a dominant 30-6 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 15 of the 2027 season, solidifying their playoff positioning with a commanding performance. The Vikings showcased their offensive prowess, while the Lions struggled to find their rhythm on both sides of the ball. Leading the charge for Minnesota was quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns, effectively managing the game and keeping the chains moving. Wide receiver Justin Jefferson was a standout target, racking up 103 receiving yards, while the Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs managed to be the lone bright spot for Detroit with 70 rushing yards, but it was not enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Vikings were relentless, highlighted by Byron Murphy Jr.'s impressive three interceptions that stymied any hopes of a Lions resurgence. Caleb Banks added to the pressure with two sacks, disrupting the Lions' offensive flow. The turning point came in the second quarter when Murphy's first interception set up a quick touchdown drive, giving the Vikings an insurmountable lead and effectively sealing the game.
