In a pivotal Week 16 matchup, the New York Jets topped the Buffalo Bills 23-13, solidifying their playoff hopes while dealing a significant blow to Buffalo's postseason aspirations. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the Jets who executed their game plan effectively when it mattered most. Geno Smith led the Jets' offense, throwing for a touchdown and managing the game with poise. Kewan Lacy was a standout on the ground, racking up 76 rushing yards, while Andre Reed provided some offensive firepower for the Bills with 109 receiving yards. Despite Buffalo's offensive struggles, Josh Allen managed to put up 249 passing yards but couldn't find the end zone. Defensively, the Jets made their mark with key plays that turned the tide. Tyler Baron recorded a sack, putting pressure on Allen, while D'Angelo Ponds snagged an interception, halting a promising Bills drive. The Jets' ability to capitalize on defensive opportunities proved crucial, as they maintained control of the game and stifled Buffalo's comeback attempts.
