In a thrilling Week 16 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals by a final score of 32-31, solidifying their playoff position as the regular season winds down. With both teams vying for a crucial victory, this game carried significant implications for postseason aspirations. Seattle's offense shone brightly, led by quarterback Sam Darnold, who threw for 337 passing yards and two touchdowns. His connection with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was particularly effective, as Smith-Njigba racked up 138 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to make plays downfield. The Seahawks demonstrated balanced offensive firepower, making key plays when it mattered most. On the defensive side, Ernest Jones IV was a standout for Seattle, recording eight total tackles and helping to stifle the Cardinals' attack. Despite some defensive struggles, the turning point came late in the game when the Seahawks made a crucial stop to preserve their slim lead. Arizona's attempts to rally fell short, thanks in part to the pressure from Seattle's defense, allowing the Seahawks to hold on for the victory.
