In a commanding performance, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Miami Dolphins 49-21 in Week 16 of the 2027 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Saints secured their spot with this decisive victory, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive fortitude. Quarterback Kevin Jennings was the star of the night for New Orleans, throwing for 315 yards and four touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the offense. Tee Higgins also made his mark, racking up 108 receiving yards and proving to be Jennings' favorite target. On the ground, Miami's Julian Sayin led all rushers with 94 yards, but it was clear the Dolphins struggled to keep pace with the high-octane Saints offense. Defensively, the Saints were relentless, with Carl Granderson leading the charge with 1.5 sacks and Jonas Sanker contributing a crucial interception. The turning point came in the second quarter when Sanker’s interception halted a Miami drive and set up Jennings for another touchdown pass, pushing the lead to 21-7 and putting the game out of reach for the Dolphins. New Orleans’ defense capitalized on key moments, ensuring the victory remained firmly in their grasp throughout the contest.
