In a thrilling Week 2 showdown, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders with a final score of 42-37. Both teams had high stakes on the line, looking to secure an early edge in the season, but it was the Cowboys who emerged victorious in this nail-biter. Quarterback Joe Milton had a standout performance for Dallas, throwing for 362 yards and an impressive six touchdowns, showcasing his ability to find the end zone at will. His favorite target, CeeDee Lamb, lit up the field with 131 receiving yards, making key catches that helped keep the Cowboys' offense rolling. Meanwhile, Lonnie Thomas led the Commanders' rushing attack with 88 yards, providing a strong ground presence, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to match Dallas's aerial assault. Defensively, the game featured key contributions, highlighted by Jacquez Farrow’s crucial interception that shifted momentum back to the Cowboys. The Commanders' Odafe Oweh made his presence felt with 1.5 sacks, but it was the opportunistic play of the Dallas defense that proved decisive in the final moments. With both teams trading blows, it was Farrow's interception that turned the tide, allowing the Cowboys to secure their victory and improve their season record.
