In a dominating performance, the Houston Texans triumphed over the Washington Commanders with a final score of 44-9 in Week 14 of the 2026 season. This victory solidified the Texans' position as a formidable contender in the league, while the Commanders struggled to find their footing throughout the game. C.J. Stroud led the charge for Houston, throwing for 216 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect downfield. Woody Marks added a solid ground game with 87 rushing yards, while Nico Collins was the standout receiver, amassing 97 yards and providing a reliable target for Stroud. The Texans' offensive efficiency was evident as they consistently moved the ball and found the end zone. Defensively, the Texans were relentless, with E.J. Speed recording a game-high 11 tackles and Kamari Lassiter making a significant impact with two interceptions. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Lassiter's first pick set up a quick touchdown, extending Houston's lead and effectively putting the game out of reach for Washington. Despite a lone sack from K'Lavon Chaisson, the Commanders' offense struggled to maintain any rhythm against a well-coordinated Texans defense.
