In a decisive matchup, the Houston Texans shut out the Pittsburgh Steelers with a final score of 15-0, marking a pivotal Week 13 victory in the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Texans delivered a strong performance that showcased their defensive prowess and offensive efficiency. Leading the charge for Houston was quarterback C.J. Stroud, who threw for 134 yards and one touchdown, while running back David Montgomery added 69 rushing yards to the Texans' ground game. Despite the Steelers' efforts, their offense struggled to find rhythm, with DK Metcalf recording the team's highest receiving yards at just 53 yards. The Texans' defense was the real difference-maker, applying relentless pressure and forcing critical mistakes. Will Anderson Jr. recorded a key sack, while Reed Blankenship's interception halted any hopes of a Steelers comeback. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Texans' defense stifled a promising Pittsburgh drive, allowing Houston to maintain control of the game and secure the shutout victory.
