In a stunning display of offensive prowess, the Tokyo Shamrocks topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 87-36 in Week 17 of the 2026 season. The victory not only solidified the Shamrocks’ playoff positioning but also showcased their dominance as they prepare for postseason play. Caleb Williams led the Shamrocks' explosive offense, throwing for an astonishing 675 yards and an eye-popping 10 touchdown passes. His favorite target, Colston Loveland, was sensational, racking up 235 receiving yards that kept the Lions' defense guessing all game long. Jahmyr Gibbs put up a valiant effort for Detroit, rushing for 143 yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Tokyo's relentless scoring. Defensively, the Shamrocks made their presence felt, with Montez Sweat contributing two sacks to disrupt Lions quarterback play. Coby Bryant recorded four total tackles, helping to stifle any momentum Detroit tried to build. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Williams connected on consecutive touchdown passes, pushing the Shamrocks' lead to an insurmountable level and setting the tone for the rest of the matchup.
