In a decisive Week 15 matchup, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 41-24, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season winds down. The Vikings showcased their offensive firepower, while the Lions fought to stay relevant in the playoff race. Quarterback Kyler Murray led the charge for Minnesota, racking up 245 passing yards and throwing two touchdown passes, effectively distributing the ball to keep the Lions' defense on their heels. On the other side, Jahmyr Gibbs was a bright spot for Detroit, rushing for 80 yards, while Amon-Ra St. Brown recorded an impressive 103 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Vikings' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Vikings were relentless, with Josh Metellus leading the way with nine total tackles. Dallas Turner made a significant impact with two sacks, disrupting the Lions' offensive rhythm and contributing to the turning point of the game where Minnesota pulled away in the second half. Despite Jack Campbell's interception for Detroit, the Vikings' defense managed to stifle any momentum the Lions attempted to build, securing the victory.
