In a decisive victory, the Miami Dolphins topped the Detroit Lions 29-13 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, Miami showcased its dominance at home, delivering a performance that solidified their standing in the league. Malik Willis was the star of the show for Miami, racking up an impressive 155 rushing yards, while Jared Goff of the Lions kept his team competitive with 264 passing yards and two touchdowns. Goff's connection with Sam LaPorta, who led the receiving corps with 79 yards, provided some highlights for Detroit but ultimately fell short against Miami's relentless offense. Defensively, the Dolphins were formidable, led by Trey Moore, who not only recorded four total tackles but also tallied two sacks. The real game-changer came from Darrell Baker Jr., who intercepted Goff three times, effectively snuffing out any momentum Detroit tried to build. Miami’s defense made critical stops at key moments, ensuring the Lions could never fully mount a comeback.
