The New York Giants topped the Houston Texans 31-17 in a crucial Week 7 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With this victory, the Giants demonstrated their resilience and offensive firepower, while the Texans faced a tough setback at home. Leading the charge for the Giants was Cam Skattebo, who tallied 62 rushing yards, providing a steady ground game to support their offensive efforts. Meanwhile, Houston's C.J. Stroud threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with receivers, including Nico Collins, who finished with 81 receiving yards. However, it wasn't enough to overcome the Giants' balanced attack. Defensively, the Giants made their mark with Kayvon Thibodeaux recording two sacks, disrupting Houston's rhythm and pressuring Stroud throughout the game. Brian Burns added an interception, which proved to be a turning point, halting a potential scoring drive from the Texans and shifting momentum back to New York. Overall, the Giants' defensive effort played a pivotal role in securing their victory on the road.
