In an impressive showing, the Washington Commanders topped the San Francisco 49ers 31-13 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. This victory positions the Commanders favorably as they continue to compete for playoff positioning, while the 49ers will need to regroup after a disappointing performance at home. Jayden Daniels was the star of the night, throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his growing command of the offense. Rachaad White complemented the passing attack with a solid 70 rushing yards, while Terry McLaurin emerged as a standout receiver, racking up 110 yards and consistently finding space against the 49ers' secondary. The Commanders' defense played a crucial role in the outcome, limiting the 49ers to just 13 points. A key moment came when Dorance Armstrong recorded a pivotal sack, disrupting the 49ers' momentum and forcing a turnover on downs. Overall, Washington's defensive effort, combined with their offensive firepower, proved too much for San Francisco to handle.
