In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Arizona Cardinals topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 31-14, solidifying their position in the competitive NFC landscape. This win is significant for the Cardinals as they look to establish momentum heading into the latter part of the season. Jared Goff showcased his skills for the Lions, throwing for 268 yards and two touchdowns, connecting well with Isaac TeSlaa, who racked up 119 receiving yards. However, it was Jeremiyah Love of the Cardinals who stole the show on the ground, amassing an impressive 183 rushing yards, proving to be a dominant force throughout the game. Defensively, Budda Baker made a critical impact for the Cardinals with a pivotal interception that shifted the momentum in the second half. The Lions struggled to contain Love's explosive runs, while the Cardinals' defense held firm, forcing key turnovers and limiting Goff's opportunities. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Baker's interception led to a touchdown, effectively sealing the game for Arizona.
