In a tightly contested battle, the Arizona Cardinals narrowly defeated the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in Week 3 of the 2026 Madden season. The victory was crucial for the Cardinals as they look to build momentum early in the season against a formidable division rival. Jacoby Brissett led the Cardinals' offense with a steady performance, throwing for a touchdown and managing the game effectively. Jeremiyah Love was a key contributor on the ground, racking up 70 rushing yards, while Marvin Harrison Jr. showcased his receiving skills with 78 yards, providing critical support to Brissett throughout the game. On the defensive side, Fred Warner stood out for the 49ers, recording eight total tackles, but it was Osa Odighizuwa's impactful 1.5 sacks that highlighted San Francisco's defensive pressure. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when a crucial defensive stop by the Cardinals allowed them to maintain their slim lead and ultimately secure the victory.
