In a thrilling Week 17 matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Arizona Cardinals 31-24, clinching a crucial victory as the season winds down. This win not only boosts the Raiders' playoff hopes but also adds pressure on the Cardinals as they look to secure their own postseason position. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza was the standout performer for Las Vegas, throwing for 327 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his precision and poise under pressure. Complementing Mendoza's efforts, Mike Washington Jr. rushed for 102 yards, while Dont'e Thornton Jr. emerged as a key target, racking up an impressive 167 receiving yards. Together, they formed a dynamic offensive trio that kept the Cardinals' defense guessing throughout the game. The Raiders' defense proved to be a pivotal factor in this contest, stifling the Cardinals' momentum at critical junctures. Arizona's Garrett Williams led the defensive charge with nine total tackles, but it was the Raiders’ ability to force key turnovers and pressure the quarterback that ultimately swung the game. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when a timely interception shifted the momentum back to Las Vegas, allowing them to secure the victory.
