In a decisive Week 16 showdown, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 33-12, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Cowboys showcased their offensive firepower, while the Jaguars struggled to find their rhythm, making this a crucial game for both teams as the season approaches its climax. Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas, throwing for three touchdowns and keeping the Jaguars' defense on its heels. Trevor Lawrence posted impressive numbers as well, with 243 passing yards and a standout performance from Brian Thomas Jr., who racked up 136 receiving yards. However, the Cowboys' balanced attack, including Javonte Williams contributing 52 rushing yards, proved too much for Jacksonville to handle. On the defensive side, the Cowboys made their presence felt, with Shavon Revel Jr. leading the team with nine total tackles and Quinnen Williams adding 1.5 sacks to disrupt Lawrence's rhythm. The game's turning point came early in the second half when Dallas scored back-to-back touchdowns, creating a momentum shift that left the Jaguars unable to recover. The Cowboys' defense, coupled with their efficient offense, ultimately sealed the victory and a step closer to the postseason.
