In a commanding season opener, the Buffalo Bills triumphed over the Houston Texans with a final score of 42-20. This matchup not only set the tone for the 2027 season but also showcased the Bills' offensive prowess right out of the gate. Leading the charge was quarterback Josh Allen, who delivered an exceptional performance with 368 passing yards and five touchdowns. Saquon Barkley also made a significant impact, showcasing his versatility with 198 receiving yards, although he only managed 26 rushing yards. Together, they formed a dynamic duo that kept the Texans' defense on its heels throughout the game. On the defensive front, Greg Rousseau was a standout, racking up five sacks to disrupt Houston's offensive rhythm. The turning point of the game came in the second quarter when Rousseau's relentless pressure forced a critical turnover, allowing Buffalo to extend their lead and ultimately control the game.
