In a crucial Week 15 matchup, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 26-17, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season nears its climax. The Vikings showcased their offensive prowess, while the Lions struggled to keep pace in a must-win game. Kyler Murray led the charge for Minnesota, throwing for 260 yards and a touchdown, while connecting effectively with Justin Jefferson, who amassed 84 receiving yards. Demond Claiborne contributed significantly on the ground, adding 57 rushing yards to the Vikings' balanced offensive attack. This dynamic offense proved too much for the Lions to handle as they sought to make a late-season push. Defensively, the Vikings made their presence felt, with Jake Golday recording 1.5 sacks to disrupt the Lions' offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the third quarter, when Minnesota's defense held strong on a critical fourth down, forcing a turnover on downs and maintaining their momentum. Kerby Joseph of the Lions did his best with eight tackles and an interception, but ultimately, it wasn't enough to shift the outcome in Detroit's favor.
