The Chicago Bears opened their 2027 season with a commanding 52-28 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting campaign. With both teams looking to establish themselves early, the Bears showcased their offensive firepower and defensive prowess, leading to a decisive win. Taylen Green was the star of the day for Chicago, throwing four touchdown passes and demonstrating precision in the pocket. D'Andre Swift added to the offensive explosion with a solid 100 rushing yards, while Rashid Shaheed of the Seahawks put on a show with 199 receiving yards, though it ultimately wasn't enough to keep pace with the Bears' scoring onslaught. Defensively, Montez Sweat was a game-changer for Chicago, racking up an impressive 5.5 sacks and contributing five total tackles. His relentless pressure on Seattle's offense was pivotal in disrupting their rhythm, especially during a crucial stretch in the second quarter when the Bears turned a tight game into a comfortable lead. Additionally, Antonio Johnson's two interceptions further solidified Chicago's dominance, ensuring the Seahawks could never regain their footing.
