In a dominant display, the Washington Commanders defeated the Carolina Panthers 42-7 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. The victory not only boosts the Commanders' early-season momentum but also solidifies their position as a team to watch in the NFC. Leading the charge for Washington was quarterback Jayden Daniels, who showcased his dual-threat capability with 333 passing yards and four touchdown passes, along with 54 rushing yards. Wide receiver Justin Jefferson also shined, racking up 120 receiving yards, making significant contributions to the offense and helping to build a commanding lead early in the game. On the defensive side, Shemar Turner was a standout, recording two sacks that disrupted the Panthers' offensive rhythm.
